Sundays finals newtons nation 2012

After having a hard session of sprints at slalom on the Saturday and a super mild sleep on the hard packed soil of mt panorama I was ready for the downhill finals. After qualifying second I knew I had a little left in the tank and just had to lay it out there.
First sprint out the gate and I knew I made a rookie mistake of racing slalom. I had no legs for what I what I was there for, the downhill. Still giving it my all I had a solid run. Finishing in 7th. Pretty disappointed but still amped as Chris Kovarik and Rhyse Willemse were on top and with Clair Buchar taking out elite females. Heading home back to brisbane for a weeks of training then back at it. Massive thanks to guys at adidas eyewear, Fortheriders, kovarikracing, nsdynamics, Jetblack for all the support. Stoked
