Rnd 1 - Toowomba.
Opening round of the Yakima Sunshine Series seen Nsdynamics Jnr rider Remy Morton stepping it up to the elite field and step it up he did. Remy was riding fast and smooth all weekend piloting his Intense M9 into all the right lines. This kid I will label as the FUTURE.
Punching runs on saturday with Ben Power, Remy Morton, Mathew Dodd and Aaron Cairns it was a good feeling been back out on the bikes together and just having a day of fun. With each run the pace was getting were it needed to be from all.
With sundays practice seen every body dialling in the race lines before seeding in the am.
Ben Power - 3rd
Remy Morton - 7th
Mathew Dodd - 12th
Aaron Cairns - 39th
With seeding out the way it was a good indication that Ben was in fine form and Remy steeping it up was certainly there to make a statement.
Heading into the finals seen some horrific crashes from the jnr field and with 1 elite been air lifted out. This meant the little rain that had just blown in was now gone and the track was starting to dry out.
With Aaron dropping in and then been shuttled back to the top for a re run due to the crashes ahead of him seen him finish in 34th position.
Mathew Dodd taking a hard hit to a all ready blown shoulder seen him put it in to a 11th place finish.
Remy Morton was on fire all weekend and pushed his Intense into a very impressive 6th place.
Ben Power had been laying down pace all weekend with his effortless style and put in a dialled run placing him in 3rd.
Thanks must go out to the all that were involved in making the event run smoothly.
RACQ care flight for giving Liam a lift. Heal up Fast mate.
