With not a great deal of preparation leading into this event it was just touch and go to make up numbers.
On the Wednesday seen me sitting at FedEx international waiting on some boxes to arrive then repack and jump straight on a plan to Adelaide.
Nigel spent thursday night building up my new race bike in order for me to a able to ride in friday practice. After feeling straight at home on board the Devinci Wilson it was time to start clocking in runs to set this bike up.
Qualifying time is up and having 9 runs under me and feeling very much up to speed and having so much fun on the bike i left the start line.
Having a solid run seen me head into 8th place leading into the finals.
After 3 practice runs on sunday before finals, changing up some lines and still working out the bike. I knew i had a few seconds to shave off.
Leaving the gate and heading into the top section and just coming in to hot and excited, I blew out 2 turns which was a real shame but just knuckled down and nailed the rest of the track and heading into the 3 rd last turn just got to excited once again and making a silly mistake before putting in a strong finish to cross the line and shaving 4 seconds of my quail time and placing me 6th spot just off the podium.
Was rad to spend to spend time with Nsdynamics jnr U17 ride Remy Morton. This kid kills it and is someone to watching. Remy placed 2nd in the U17s which is extremely solid start to the season.
Best National result yet so am super amped.
Could not be more stoked for Connor Fearon who turned 20 and also took the Win in Elite. That kids throttle is stuck on.
Huge thanks must go out to Nsdymaics and Gabe from Cycles Devinci for everything.
Getting keen for the rest of the season.
TEAM EDIT OUT SOON thanks to Captyvate Media
