European National Enduro Austria (disappointed as can be)

Here we are sitting in the freezing conditions for track walk for some of the European National Titles Stages in Kirchberg, Austria.

With the weather turning from bad to worse and the rain coming in heavier, we knew it was going to be a hard weekend mental and physically. With that been said but, the tracks are looking crazy good and cannot wait to get out on them.

Heading out for practice and it was a struggle with the sun just peeking through at the base of the mountains but it still snowing and raining just a couple hundred metres up.
Practice was going well until the cold got to me and even with thermals and water proof everything on it was still a mission to get back to the accommodation.

Suffering a broken rear mech on stage 1 practice right on close of business on the Saturday meant that I would not be making the start line come Sunday morning. I know it is a item that should always be carried on these events and it has bitten me hard. To my biggest disappointment it was a quick pack up and head back to Germany for some down time and bike rebuilding. This is truly a disappointing time I must say as the track are so wild and the event has been put on so well.

On the travel to Saalbach Hinterglem / Leogang / Austrian Alps

Since last season after discovering what Saalbach has to offer in the way of trail riding networks it was definitely first on the list to head back there and hang out with all the crew from last season and meet some fresh faces.

Europe certainly has its public transport in mind with it been so easy to head all over the EU.

With certain carriages set aside for bikes. Makes life easy with traveling with a bike.

With the valley connected so well with lifts its hard sometimes to get you climb on unless venturing out. With only a few lifts on at the moment it was a good time to climb for the decent on some fresh early ridden single track nessled out on the ridge lines and knife edges.

plenty of snow still laying around for playtime.

SOLID CREW IS ALWAYS A BONUS.

Its hard no to be trendy when you are hanging out with a solid crew overlooking the Austrian Alps on sunset. Now for the 30+ minute decending to get some food.

Clips from Lake Garda.

Met up with a really rad crew in Lake Garda and shot a few clips with them on a bike tour on day. Was a blast to hang and ride with the group. Massive thanks to all for the best riding experiences from Lake Garda.

Cedar Creek / Monday Spins / THE OFFICE

Saturday saw Benny Power and Myself heading up to Cedar Creek, Kenilworth for the last round of the Qld DH series.

It was good getting up to a local race and just hanging out.,

Been of the DH bikes for while now both Ben and Myself were just keen to have some fun on the loose Cedar Creek track.

With practice done it was time for river hangs.

Sundays racing was canceled due to the Shuttle rd been to dangerous to stunt any toughies up.

Just another Monday spin for Ben and I. Heading coastal for a quick 40k spin on the single speeds before just hanging out at Burleigh Beach for a bit.

Track Preview. Straight-to Hell DH Club.

Today I had the chance to head out and do some runs on the new tracks that the lads from Straight-to Hell DH-Inc have produced.

Going back a few months now, NsDynamics, Kovarik Racing got to spend a day doing runs on the original track and just running in the lines. This is was a rad time with smiles all round and Karvar getting loose with the trade mark style of foot out drift.

Now the lads have got 2 lines running with the 3rd in the making.

Utilising the hill to its potential the tracks are all fast, off canva and rocky as hell. These tracks are built with the term downhill kept in mind. With the rocks been loose and for ever changing it keeps u on your toes and alert, you have to be committed to hit the dialled lines.
With this is mind the tracks are definitely suitable for Intermediate through to Elite riding styles. You control your own speed.

With a open day on the horizon I would highly recommend getting out and hitting up these tracks. Not a single track around like them, no berms and no benching makes for foot out Rad Times.

2012/2013 sponsorship

That time again to start looking over last seasons achievements and personal goals and start recessing new goals and challenges for the up coming season.
Start looking at which rounds to attend and what the national and international calendar has to offer. Start planning the budget. Making sure I have work is first thing, as no riding and racing will happen at all with out the dollars.
Need to start finalizing sponsorship and making sure my body and mind will be in a competitive state to achieve what will be laid out on the table for personal, competitive and sponsorship goals.
Full resume is been redone and will be ready for dispatch in the next coming week.
